Rochester and North Kent Music & Drama Festival (Registered Charity No. 287764) is a competitive festival, run by volunteers and registered with the Charity Commission. It is a member of the British and International Federation of Festivals.

Our privacy Promise

We promise:

  1. To keep your data safe and private.
  2. Not to sell your data.
  3. Not to share with third parties without your specific permission.

Collecting your Personal Information

We obtain your personal information when you either/or:

  1. Register an entry to the Festival.
  2. Volunteer at the Festival.
  3. Are engaged as an Adjudicator at the Festival.
  4. Ask us for more information about the Festival or contact us with a question or complaint.
  5. Pay for an advert in the programme.
  6. Give us bank details to enable us to transfer money to your bank account (e.g. for a payment or a refund).

The Personal Information We Collect

The Personal Information we collect may include (but is not limited to) the following:

  1. Your name, address, phone number, date of birth and email address.
  2. You bank account number and sort code.
  3. Your contact with us – such as a note of a call you make to us, an email or letter you send to us or other records of any contact you have with us.

  1. Name and National Curriculum year will be published in the Festival Programme.
  2. We may also include a list of cup/prize winners.

Sharing Your Personal Information

Apart from the published programme:

  1. We will not share your personal information with a third party without your specific permission.

Keeping Your Personal Information Secure

With regards to keeping Your Personal Information Secure:

  1. Access to your personal data will be restricted to those personnel who administer the Festival.
  2. We will store your information for as long as we have to by law.
  3. If there’s no legal requirement, we will only store it for as long as we need it.
  4. We will also keep some personal information for a reasonable period; for example, to send a syllabus for the following year’s Festival.
  5. It will be normal for us to retain information for up to 6 (six) years.
